355 Oppression
355_Oppression
It is a celebration of the journey of life in the 21st Century, but life has been very different in the past.
This piece of writing is not to cause racism from those oppressed here in the UK, but to open all our minds to the truth of an unfortunate history.
First, we look at the oppression of the Americas.
The invasion of South America, against red folk, began in 1528 when the Spaniards met the Quechua-Incas of Peru, one of the most original Civilizations in South America. Amerindian-Hispanic relations have been significant ever since. During the early colonial period, Quechua was studied by conquistadors, traders and missionaries to peacefully integrate, until the Hispanic and American conquest took over their political and social life.
European invaders into the Americas, both North and South, allowed atrocities of murder and a purposeful spread of smallpox to reduce original settlers from 10mn to 300,000, in the 1800’s, the 19th Century invasion. In the 20th Century there have been several civil rights violations, after the Trail of Tears from the south of North America to Oklahoma, and people of a minority, were killed for money.
During the oppression of North American Indians, in the 19th Century, came also the persecution of the Southern Pacific Islands, that has caused serious psychological harm to those survivors, telling stories of their ancestry, just as Black History must be learnt from. Through colonialism, exploitation, and the massive systemic climate change issue of today, beginning in the 1800’s in the Western Hemisphere, transferred to the East, whereby islands are disappearing by the sea rising. Even reproductive rights, and political instability, were apparent. Between 1863 and 1904, over 50,000 Pacific Islanders from Islands including Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, the Melanesians, New Caledonia, West Papua, the Cook Islands and New Zealand, have all experienced this severe persecution, including “Blackbirding” to work as labourers in Australia, through slavery, and political and economic upheaval, unaccounted for today.
These are some serious oppressive conditions to live in, but nothing compared to Black Africans. Their slavery story begins in pre-history taken to Mesopotamia in 4000bc, Muslims used in Egypt in 1-2bc and the European merchants took them to the Americas before defeating the reds, in the 17th Century.
Please always see your brothers and sisters, of all creeds, colour and race as your friend!
Without doubt history will never be repeated, again.
My heart goes out to you in this sad story.
Today is a celebration, that we all have ancestry to the origin of Africa, where we are all innocent.
Let there be no more racism.
And finally, let us care for everyone, it is time to celebrate freedom of all colours!
Love AB X
AMEN
(Stay Pro-Black!!!!!!)
