“Poly”- means many; much. And while we promote the mono, incipient, initial, idea, reason or manifestation, (like some of these bugs we are seeing appear in nature with the rising CO² levels, designed to last the pervading alchemy of carbon and climate change challenges), we are bound by the many. Like a Labour Idiom of Corbyn’s: “Not just for the few, but for the many.” What does this all mean? When as such, we are all individuals – how many true similarities are there between us? We have the stars, the Gods, religion, business, family, friendships, health, acquaintances, marriage, and children all guiding us. As similarities these personages make us love each other more and more, and there are soul ties, for whom we blame, and through inference love for the rest of our lives – even through spats of hate – we are bonded together. Our souls may change, but since childhood we have known each other. Religion is a strong harbinger of people coming together as a community. And so, life comes down to God and money.
Michael Flammer’s important statement on Twitter, translated by Greta Thunberg:
“Ending fossil capitalism doesn’t mean we have to implement socialism. We are stuck in an unimaginative 20th Century debate. Regardless of what we will call the economic system, it is essential that it functions within the planetary boundaries”[i]
Those planetary boundaries are many and few. What do I mean by that? I mean, it is clear we must get rising temperatures down, (Tunisia took a 2.7°C rise very recently, to 44.3°C), but these are in the atmosphere, on the surface and underground. However, we already have a colder Earth in the Northern Hemisphere, and we must avoid another ice age, over the coming thousands of years. On the surface we will affect both atmosphere and under the ground, so, it is a man made phenomenon, to be so bold as to place a pad stone or foundation and not to enrol a good deal of carbon based on manufacturing techniques and its countenance with destroying nature.
We must not forget England, and the World were a green and pleasant land before civilization – a form of madness took over. It is not mad to be civilized but to make such drastic changes since Medieval Times; it was to create a hubbub of isolation in the house instead of the street. Plagues have been with us since the Middle Ages, and I am sure to know many more lost their lives, compared to the many that remain from this trite disease we are embracing the defences of. But England is the spirit, and the spirit of England cogitates on caring and kindness. We love first.
The economy continues to pick up from the last 7-month Lockdown since March 2020. But going out does not feel the same, we have become the many in masks, places losing their atmosphere, no lively attitude of mind, no history being played out but a plague. On the bus, it is as if we are breathing for each other, and please do not do this, as if angst is rising above the precautions. Desperately not trying to catch the virus, and yet putting ourselves in each other’s pockets just to find a friend.
If we go then there is no turning back, and our condolences go out to anyone who has died and of course to friends and family of the victim. It is cruel, because a full lifetime is not even long enough to play out our many talents, and to make them all a financial success. A ‘Green Objective Economy’ already exists in a fairly objective market that will improve our talents if we try to make our product relevant to the market and authorless, a product that stands up on its own; commerce is an interesting predicament. Commercially it would seem there are only so many ways of doing things. Commercially we want no authorship but also accessibility. Access to commerce not only via outlets but as a state of mind, and therefore ‘on-point’, is a challenge that improves a product lesser or more to a degree of fine-tuning.
The Earth undoubtedly formed now, 4.56 billion years ago from dust, gas, and rock, but water in the form of ice joined us later. Huge asteroids became meteorites and entered the atmosphere to bring us the HdH²O (heavy water – the d stands for deuterium) of salt to the seas crashing out mountains, and perfect for life to form. There may not be many Earth’s throughout the Universe and similarly we may never find other life that exists, who knows? But while we are here, we must continue the healing process.
The “Poly”- of us is our collective – a group of individuals coming together in our houses, churches, and esplanades. We must not be frightened of each other and to make our many hearts fond of getting to know each other when the time is right. We will be less not to, and not to find out our peculiarities. Polly has just put the kettle on, so, I am afraid I must dash!
